The new season of workshops at the Marlowe Theatre is now on sale

Following the huge success of the first Anyone Can Act season, led by local drama lecturer and performer Gary Barber, the workshops return for a longer run, starting on 18 January. Focussing on popular TV and film scripts, the sessions allow adults to explore acting in a supportive, relaxed environment. The first performance by the group in The Marlowe Studio was a huge success, with many members returning this month.

Wide Eyed Theatre are once again running The Marlowe Youth Theatre, with sessions for five to 18 year olds on Saturday morning or Monday evening. Most sessions are sold out, with members returning year on year.

Wide Eyed Theatre are also returning with The Marlowe’s regular programme of workshops on Mondays. The Marlowe Diddies is for children aged two to four, incorporating music, movement, craft and drama. The Marlowe Free Spirits is a small group for adults with learning difficulties and their companions. The sessions focus on the individual needs of the participants, and helps encourage creative expression and development. The Marlowe Bojanglers, for anyone aged 60 and over, is a drama class. These mixed ability sessions are for those who wish to be creative without joining an amateur dramatics company.
