STARS of The Marlowe pantomime thank the theatre’s first corporate partners

John Partridge (Prince Charming) and Kate Quinnell (Cinderella) met representatives from the 29 companies at a special breakfast and presented them with certificates. The event was to recognise the support the Founding Corporate Partners (FCPs) gave to the fundraising campaign, which raised more than £4.28 million towards the new theatre.

Collectively the FCPs contributed more than £230,000 to the capital fundraising appeal. As “Founding” implies, they were first in joining a scheme which aims to establish closer links between The Marlowe and the local business community.

Cinderella producer Paul Hendy was also at the breakfast and he thanked the companies for supporting the theatre, saying the scheme was a great example of how business and theatre could work together for mutual benefit.

The Marlowe Theatre Development Trust’s Paul Barrett said: “It was really great to have the pantomime stars help us say a big thank you to all the Founding Corporate Partners. Now more than ever the business community and the theatre need to work together for the good of our local economy.”

The theatre hopes other local businesses will join these corporate partners in supporting its work in the future. If anyone is interested in supporting the Marlowe Theatre through your company please contact The Marlowe Theatre Development Office on 01227 456448.
