The family-run dairy has developed four new delicious ice creams packed full of seasonal tastes and textures: Cinnamon; Apple Crumble; Crème Brûlée and Christmas Pudding.

As well as the Cool Yule range, Solley’s will also be trialling their latest novelty variety: Wasabi ice cream. Known as Japanese horseradish, Wasabi has a hot, mustard-like taste, making the resulting ice cream ideal for accompanying both sweet and savoury dishes.

Unlike other ice creams that only use Wasabi paste, Solley’s Farms’ recipe uses fresh Wasabi root, sourced from the UK’s only supplier based in Dorset.

The Speciality & Fine Food Fair is a three-day event held at London’s Olympia from 8 to10 September, showcasing the UK’s finest food and drink products to more than 8,300 buyers from farm shops, delis, restaurants and cafés around the country.

Stephen Solley, managing director of Solley’s Farms, said: “We’re proud to be exhibiting our real Kentish dairy ice cream at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair. At Solley’s, we’re passionate about using locally-sourced ingredients wherever we can; 85% of our base products are from Kent, and even our milk comes from a Jersey herd across the road.

“The show is a great platform for us to launch our new Cool Yule range to a national audience. Ice cream is no longer just for summer, but a treat to be enjoyed all year round. Our new flavours are perfect for the festive season, either as an accompaniment or a stand-alone dessert.”

The dairy experts’ 18 core flavours are complemented by an almost endless range of tastes. The Wasabi ice cream joins a long list of specially-commissioned flavours produced by Solley’s, including such distinctive tastes as garlic, bread and butter pudding, turkish delight and chilli.
