GoResponse Named Best Call Centre At The World Contact Center Awards

The Olympics may still be weeks away, but that hasn’t stopped GoResponse from picking up two gold medals. The Kent-based telephone answering service provider picked up three awards at the prestigious 2012 Contact Center World Awards (EMEA), which included GoResponse being named Best Small Contact Centre and GoResponse’s Managing Director Mark Kirby being announced as Best Executive.

The awards took place on Friday 29th June at Madame Tussauds in London, and are the call centre version of the Oscars, with countries from across the globe competing to be recognised. Not only did GoResponse pick up two gold awards, but they also secured a bronze medal for Contact Centre Design – no mean feat considering the 130-seat company was up against businesses that had designed call centres to host 5,000+ seats.

GoResponse won the awards after presenting to a 130-strong audience of industry experts, who then selected the winners in all categories. The fact that these awards are voted for by GoResponse’s peers makes the winning of the Best Small Contact Centre award even more significant, as it highlights that those working in the industry now recognise the Sittingbourne outsourced call centre as the gold standard in the marketplace.

Mark Kirby commented on how he felt about GoResponse leaving the evening with two gold medals:

“I’m incredibly proud of everyone in the GoResponse team for the hard work and dedication that they have shown over the last year, and am delighted that this commitment has been rewarded at the 2012 Contact Center World Awards. We’ve always tried to emphasise the fact that GoResponse is more than just your average call centre, and these awards highlight that this has been recognised in our industry as well.

“The competition was fierce, as we were up against the likes of Carlsberg, Sony and Vodafone. Hopefully winning these awards will show that we bring something new to the table in terms of outsourced call centre services, and will highlight that we offer a much higher standard of care to our customers.”

Glen Blow, Marketing and Technology Director at GoResponse spoke about why he thought that Mark had won the Best Executive award:

“Mark started the business in 2003 with just four members of staff and over the last nine years we have grown exponentially. Whilst getting to where we are today has been a team effort, Mark deserves the lion’s share of the praise, as his leadership has definitely been one of the key factors in driving the business forward.

Simple things, such as getting to know all of the staff personally and giving them an exciting and rewarding environment to work in, can be a real incentive to increase motivation and output. I’m pleased that the judges agreed and selected Mark as the Best Executive.”
