Ex-Selfridges buyer from Kent launches gift brand

Kent based Dawn Rose, a former Head of Buying at Selfridges and House of Fraser, has launched Ragged Rose – www.raggedrose.com – an exciting new signature range of colour quality co-ordinated gifts and homeware.

Ragged Rose is a vibrant new lifestyle concept. Initially inspired by a packet of flower seeds, the concept has evolved into a collection of completely original hand-painted artistic designs all based around a floral story.

Wateringbury based Dawn Rose explains:
“The inspiration for Ragged Rose stems from my garden summer house in the heart of the gorgeous Kent countryside. Central to the brand is my passion for beautiful country garden flowers on a hot summer’s day, combined with a love of strong, bold, vibrant colour.
“Each of my designs concentrates on one flower which is striking in appearance, for example a rose or anemone. This is then complemented by colour coordinating plains in luxury fabrics such as velvet, along with ragged stripes and small ditzy mini prints such as leaves or petals which unite the whole concept.”
The Ragged Rose range comprises glamorous and desirable pieces for the bedroom and bathroom – for example cushions and throws, alongside functional but fun items for the garden and kitchen. For those fun days out there are also gorgeous, flirty bags.
Its roots may well stem from Kent’s countryside, but Ragged Rose is as far removed from a country chintzy cottage as you can get. By contrast, this lifestyle brand is glamorous, bold and edgy. This range of gifts and homeware will appeal equally to the young up and coming popstar or professional, as well as the school Mum and glamorous gran.
Run ragged by the demands of a busy lifestyle, you can sit back and allow this new range to inject colour and energy back into your home.
